Exhaust Temperature Sensors

Featured Replies

Waiting for the car to go into the garage to have a replacement EGR valve fitted and a check on the DPF as it very quickly 'blocks' and requires a very regular service regeneration and always appears to be attempting a passive regeneration, rise in tick over speed to approx 1000 rpm and fans continue to run after switching off. Last couple of times taken it for a good blast down the motorway then be able to carry out a service regeneration no problem, but if I just take it for a run around to get it up to temperature it's not so easy. Took a snap shot as it was regenerating earlier today and have a query about the Exhaust Sensors. It's a 2.0 Tdi CR CFCH engine. 4 sensors are listed, 3 seem to be well up to temperature while No 2 reads 0? Anybody know if this is normal and if it actually has 4 sensors? There are no fault codes listed on any scan done.

Yup, it's normal for a CFHC engine not to have temp sensor 2 fitted :)

More confusing for me is that your oil ash volume is 0.00 l. It should be considerably higher than that in a car with 196k...
