Compared to the octavia 1.4 2018 I feel a lack of power of the vehicle.  Especially at the start of a trip and if I want to accelerate from 50, I press the pedal and there is almost no response.  I have to press the pedal a lot to get power.

The same with you?

I think it is probably to do with the e-tec system. The throttle pedal on the 1.0 e-tec I am driving feels slow to respond, and needs a firm press to get quick acceleration. Putting the DSG ‘box in Sport mode makes it a lot more driveable around town, in ‘D’ it changes up at about 2000-2500 rpm instead of 3000+.

All to do with emissions and fuel economy I reckon.
