Had coolant sensor replaced now engine management light is on... HELP PLEASE

Featured Replies

Hi, today we've had our coolant sensor replaced, then later on the engine management light has come on. Any ideas please as to why this could have happened please. 😏

There are many reasons for the EML to come on. Ideally you need to get the car scanned for fault codes to narrow it down :)

I'm planning on getting it scanned today. I'm just hoping it won't cause any damage if I drive it today! So fingers 🤞 hopefully it'll be a simple something to sort it out. I'm living in hope! Lol.

Why was the coolant sensor replaced?

Oh, I see. What was the part number of the item replaced? (Should be on the bill)

Is this a diesel or petrol engine?

It's a petrol engine. I'll find out the receipt and look at the part number. Think it may have been the coolant valve that was replaced. I've attached a photo of what was replaced. Lol. I'm clueless really.  Hahahhaha.
