MFSW Wiring/Slip ring pinout

Featured Replies

Hello Skoda users and modders. I am currently in the process of upgrading my fabia 2 5j with a MFSW but got a little stuck in the process.

I bought a MFSW with airbag but somehow the connector is a mismatch even after i check that the wiring loom is actually compatible with the fabia 2. It's listed as a Fabia 2 MFSW loom on the skoda parts site.

This is the new one

But this is the one my car (slip ring) supports

So if anyone has any idea on the pin layout on the second one, maybe i can modify the original wire with the new one. Any tips would be great.

The problem here is not just the pin location, i had a similar issue with a T5 van. The terminals were different in the older plug

I take it your fabia is the older 5J (2007 -2010)

What else are you going to do to install a mfsw

Yes, is the older 5j model. Sorry, I'm not too sure on what you are asking exactly.

I know only the bottom 6 pins are connected. 2 yellow for the airbag deployment connector, one brown (center airbag terminal) for the horn which is shared with the MFSW connector an one blue for the twin outer terminals on the airbag.

How did you manage to solve your T5?
