Should there be this much rust in the front brake piston cavity?

Seems a lot and goes right deep into cavity.

As ,long as the outside is ok sealed behind the rubber and the piston slides ok, just clean it up a bit with a wire brush etc taking care not to puncture the seal.

A liberal smear of copper anti-sieze on the back of the pad where the piston contacts keeps water out.
