Why silver?

Featured Replies

Hi guys,

One little thing that really anoys me. Why on so many cars are cars silver in the menu. I have glacier silver octavia but in the car menu the display is just silver  so not the color of the vehiiacle.  I also had bmw f30 which was glacier silver so this didnt bothered me since the color was the same , but friend had a red on but it was also silver on parking pilot menu.

Why is so hard for car manufacturers to input cars color number into the infotainment. Every car that I was in had silver car while park pilot is powered or when car is displayed.

This is more general topic because I persume that also Superb has same flaw. Even BMW has it. It doesnt cost anything to put color code in :nerd:

Does anybody know why are they doing this?

You have a silver car and are complaining that the pictogram of your vehicle is silver but not the right silver?

It makes all my problems seem trivial now.

I have dark grey car but on pictogram is light silver . hahahah I know that this is trivial but it is a little thing that anoys me on all cars not just Skoda. Question is why is always light silver car on pictogram and not the color of the car itself.

It is just yours has not been in the sun that long.

I have written incorectly , glacier silver was BMW , Skoda is quartz mettalic.

Actually I’m quite pleased the pictogram is silver - else I’d have a black car on a black background 😂

My last 2 Skodas were silver and the plan view of the estate car icon was absolutely perfect in every detail.

Now I have a blue Yeti, am I bothered? - Not enough to sell it and buy a silver one!
