Roof rack advice pls

Wanting to carry a sit on canoe on my roomster 2008 diesel. It has the rails. Seen a cross bar rack set up on ebay for £69 - https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/264706086267?fits=Car+Make%3ASkoda|Model%3ARoomster&hash=item3da1b6557b:g:3A0AAOSwNZRfEFW7 anybody used one of these or recommend a better option?

I've got some second hand Thule cross bars from a Golv IV Variant (Or even from a III, I'm not certain). I think the shape of the roof rails are pretty universal at least within VAG so as long as they're long enough, second hand ones should be fine?
