Article from yesterday's Guardian

Featured Replies

Greetings. I saw this in yesterday's Guardian. It give a positive spin on the Enyaq, as part of an article about getting from Lands End to the top of Scotland, with all those related infrastructure issues!

I'm getting annoyed with people who just get in an EV with no idea how to charge, where to charge or the requirements for charging. Although as a non-Scot, I do get his point about Chargeplace Scotland - who'd have thought public chargers provided with public money need a special card you can only get by joining a special club? However, I know I need to join the special club as I do a bit of research. How early  adopters of EVs managed to stay civil to ignorant ICE drivers is quite impressive. Maybe I'm unusual in having wanted an EV for several years and couldn't find the right thing at the right price - so I've researched a lot. I'd still expect people to have researched a little bit though!

I cant even link it, so very much like many CPS chargers.

Like Robert the Bruces Spider or EV chargers you need to try try and try again, and sometimes move on to someplace else.

It really has been an Issue that the Scottish Government has been allowing where Public Money has been getting paid to Companies / Hosts and Operators providing a very poor service as far as the Reliability and availability of the Charge Place Scotland Network.   Maintenance response times of weeks and months has been abysmal.

Not that MSP's or Michael Matheson MSP & Cabinet Secretary for Net Zero, energy and transport seem to notice.

Not 'Government Funded', Tax Payer funded and money handed out by the Government ,

elected and non elected Civil Servants who should maybe all be required to travel by EV in Scotland when on Government business and only be able to claim their expenses for Charging, that is unless cycling, flying or getting on ferries to cross seas.
