I need help

Featured Replies

Hi everyone I have a MK2 Fabia VRS 2010 only one way to put this is I don’t have a clue what I’m looking for. My car is throwing up the flashing EML. Did it earlier when I was showing a fiesta st that there car was all shout and no trousers..

I’ve  taken my car to Skoda and they said they couldn’t find any codes.. I think they just cleared it and said otherwise.

sound like it’s misfiring but I’ve recently had new plugs. Is it worth getting a carley plug In thing or the R8 Coils and adapter and see what happens ?

Best someone interested in the car looks at it, that is unlikely to be a Skoda Dealership Employee.

Has the car ever had a new water pump?

Has the car ever had new coils?

Do you run on on Super Unleaded 97 or 99 ron?

Who changed the plugs for you and what plugs were fitted and how many miles ago?

Pipes not on correctly or the coils damaged or even on the way out can

EML light or ECP can show or both even when booting it and there is a misfire and a code for misfires might not log if not enough in a cycle.

The Exhaust Emissions Control light can even show when you have had the car sitting ticking over like when working on it then boot it.

Not likely to stay on though.

Did the light come on after you gave the car a bit of a blast? if so one of the most common issues that turns light on but does not show on codes is the air pipe going into manifold from turbo inter-cooler, it some times blows past air under pressure sending out a fault but then corrects itself once turned off and started again, check the tightness of all clips on the pipes and if they are sealing correctly before going any further, also came across this after a mate changed air filter and pipe was missing rubber seal causing a pressure leak under higher boost, worth a look

...Sounds like the Fiesta was all shout and no trousers but your trousers ended up around your ankles! Hope it went wrong AFTER you were out of sight...
