Hello please help !!!, i had a tow bar fitted in Dec 2020, caravan has not been used, connected up today and 99% of electrics in car have failed, i have ERROR AIRBAGS, ERROR BRAKES and side lights cannot be turned off, car will not start when key is turned. The ignition was off when i connected to the caravan....

Sounds like they've done something wrong when fitting the tow bar. Where was it fitted?

 

You still have warranty on the work they've done so they'll have to rectify the problems for you.

Hello, it was fitted at my home, ive been in touch with the fitters, they say they cant come back to look at it until Tue / Wed next week...😣

Sounds like they screwed up something on the CANBUS during fitting. What electrical kit did they fit?

 

Have you tried unplugging the towing controller to see if it resolves the problem?

Thanks for advice, a mechanic rang me back advised to dis the battery then touch the 2 neg / pos connectors together, wait 20 mins and it sorted it !!!
