No, both Amundsen and Columbus have navigation only Bolero is without sat nav.

If you get a car with a MIB2 Amundsen or Columbus (i.e. late 2016 onwards) then they will have Apple Carplay and Android Auto.

Both iPhones and Android phones have sat nav apps preloaded (Apple maps and Google maps) - using either of these apps while the phone is connected to the car infotainment system (using CarPlay or Android Auto) allows you to see the sat nav apps on the car system.

Even though I have an iPhone I use Google maps because that allows you to download maps onto the phone while on WiFi so you don't need to download the maps using your PAYG account. The only PAYG account usage is for traffic data which is MUCH less.

And from experience, Google maps is much better than the built-in satnav as it’s easy to set a specific POI (a specific destination by name) and it’s live traffic data is very precise.

With CarPlay or Android Auto it's really easy - after phone connected to car the map appears on the car screen, on Google maps press Search, then the keyboard symbol and type in the postcode. When a route appears press Start - that's it!

Will have to drag myself into the 21st century. In my naivety have been looking only at vehicles fitted with the Amundsen or Colombus sat nav.

One thing I have noticed is that not a lot really comes as standard. In the specs it lists things like front and rear seatbelts etc etc things which one takes for granted. My 2008 Freelander has electrical front seats height, position ,lumbar adjust. These are things which I thought most cars of 2021 would have.

Looking through specs for 2020 models the SE looks very spartan in its basic form.

Android Auto can be frustrating. My wife's mother was born in a village called Halstock, and Google cannot recognise it any way you say it. You have to remember the nearest village and ask for that.
