Mine was built on 18th May,

Correction, as @e-Roottoot points out, it was finished on 18th May. It may have been parked somewhere waiting for chips. Check the date codes on the tyres, wheels and other parts.

Skodas are the not quite perfect sibling in the VAG stable. They get the bits their brothers reject. But can also source some of their bits from cheaper suppliers than their siblings

Lets see what the dealer has to say. Skoda Australia may be a lot more generous than Skoda UK who I am certain would reject any claim out of hand.

BTW Only 232 x 9mm discs are listed on Skoda-parts.com which usually has the complete range.

On one of the OP's photos you can see the min value is printed as 7mm so confirming the discs as 9mm

Get that vernier and measuring technique checked!

I have 2 verniers and did multiple measures on both discs, both came out the same  at 11.73 so I dont know whats wrong.  I even pulled a wheel off to ensure I got it right. Had my finger around the back of the disc to ensure it was all square etc.

Have done that   Tyres are 0821.  Tracked progress using Commission number.  Car was at the dock till it got allocated a ship at the end of May and left Bremerhaven  on the 6th or 7th June on the Hoegh Trotter. I tracked the ship all the way on Marine traffic and with the VIN.  Ship docked in Brisbane at 4am on the 24th July got to dealer  on 3/4 th  Aug

A vernier can be read to 0.01mm?

Is in CM  but redid the disc and got 11.7 again and it does say on the hub 9mm min 7mm so unsure of whats  what . car is booked in tomorrow morning for inspection

Ok Im an idiot     Both  the verniers seemed to give erroneous readings so I read up on the instructions on settings as they are from same place  (Aldi) I had them on wrong setting and now get 9,07mm for the disc width  so they are the correct ones and I read the lettering around the hub which confirms that.  Have smacked myself a few times for that

Doesnt alter the fact about the scoring though

Also does anyone know how to remove the  6 buttons at rear of centre console as I want to put the S/S cheat cable in and cant get to the underside of the switches. Do you have to pull the whole console out to do it.

Have got the dashcam working on top left of screen binnacle  Had to run the cable across behind heater etc and up the left trim and as I couldnt get the A pillar trim off easily I worked a heavy cable tie in behind the airbag and out between screen and roof lining> Tucked it all up inside lining neatly and used fuse 46 for ACC power as I dont use parking mode.   Also dont need heated rear seats where i live as a cold day today and it was 15C. THinking about doing a rear one but looks like a mission to get it up rear corner.

Ok went to the dealer who took it for a run and obviously did a few hard brakings.     Cleaned them up a bit so on my way home I used the handbrake for stopping. Has cleaned the discs up somewhat but they are still a bit rougher than I would like. They agreed to look at them if necessary after 100km and assess their condition then.
