Anyone has the Heated windshield option?

Featured Replies

Hi,

I wonder if the Scala has the newest tech for heated shield as mk4 which is invisible. Can anyone tell me and say if the lines are visible on the Scala? (maybe pictures if possible :)  )

Thanks!!! Xxx

Hey,

I have it but with the Kamiq, which should look around the same.

They don't show up on photos well but you can definitely see them. I would argue you can see them more than my friend's Passat B6.

You get used to them after a while tho'.

thank you for the feedback, greatly appreciated. I did not find one in the showroom with heated windshield. I was hoping it would be invisible but most important is the ease of use during harsh winter :)  thanks again !

I strongly advise you go for it!

It was relatively cheap and its well integrated with the Automatic AC.

It serves me well, windshield never fogs up and snow melts really fast.

If you can, go for it!

i found a video showing the heated windshield and looks pretty ok :)

Alright, yeah it's decent, could be better but I am happy with it.

Hey, my wife have it on her scala and if you watch your road you don’t see them but if you focus on them they are visible. It’s a bit wierd when you driving during the night because all lights ( traffic lights, car’s breaking lights ) are a bit blured but you can use to it.

i don’t know how it is gonna be during the winter but that was the main reason. I am sure its gonna be useful and will be better to have it than not. It was cheap option.

There is automatic option on the climat contral so it can turn on/off itself when needed.

thanks @Wiegott i hope we can get used to it. First time having windshield heating :)

Got it on my fiesta, awesome invention, its great not having to scrape ice off in the freezing cold

Have on my Octavia with heated seats & heated steering wheel . they come into their own in the winter & wouldnt  consider a car without. I think the money was well spent !

I've got one on my MY21 Karoq, and it's the new version with a plasma film rather than the wires. Works well, and nothing to distract from the view trough the windscreen.

The give-away is that the option price jumps up a bit!!

Skoda is now like a premium brand with those prices :D e few years back it was still pretty affordable but now it is much more expensive. I do like the brand tho more than vw and audi

I have it on my 21 Scala. Got it in April so I haven't had any frost yet to try it seriously but it does de-mist very quickly. I can see the wires if I look hard enough in the right light but normally I don't notice.
