Pair Amundsen with Pocket GPS

Featured Replies

Can anyone advise please.

Is it possible to pair the Pocket GPS camera database with my Amundsen 2 satnav in my 2017 Yeti.

Thank you.

I take it you mean speed cameras.
If so yes it's possible on post May 2015 Amundsen II. site under VW
Do a google search, you may even find that information on this site or the https://www.pocketgpsworld.com/modules.php?name=Cameras site under VW

Many thanks.

I doubt my Amundsen is post 2015, as we didn't pick the car up until 2017 after waiting 3 months for delivery. It's one of the last SE Drive models produced.

I'll check that link.

If your Yeti is 2017 it is definitely post 2015 or am I missing something?

Thanks Urrell.

Using a post by Welsh Boyo, I have successfully been able to install a speed camera poi database on my Amundsen Mk2 sat nav.

Although this is not the Pocket GPS database, it will suffice.

For your info, the link you gave me to the VW section is not applicable to the Amundsen. The link only works with VW units.

Only vaguely relevant but I'm gonna throw it in: I have the Apple CarPlay upgrade and when I'm following a route in Apple Maps I'm warned of all speed cameras as I drive - Siri even reads out the speed and sounds a little more belligerent than usual if I'm above the limit.

Thanks for the info. I only use Android and Windows devices in the car.
