You might be able to fit a 215/60R16 on a 6Jx16 ET40 or ET43 rim.

The 6Jx16 ET40 rim is used on the Superb MK1.

The 6Jx16 ET43 rim is used on the Karoq.

Don't try a 215/60R16 on the standard 6.5Jx16 ET41 rim because that will raise the carpet slightly.

Fitting a 215/60R16 to a 6J rim instead of a 6.5J rim makes it about 6mm narrower.

As you can see from the Toyo tyres chart below, 215/60R16 fitted to a 6.5J rim has an overall width of 221mm (not the 215mm which you might expect).

However, fitting a 215/60R16 to a 0.5" narrower 6J rim makes the overall width of the tyre about 215mm (or about what you would expect from a 215 tyre size).

If you were to fit a 215/60R16 to a 7J rim, the overall width would be about 227mm.

If you want to fit a standard space saver spare, Skoda sells a 205/55R16 fitted to a 6.5Jx16 ET46 (from an Octavia MK3) for the Superb MK3 for this purpose. However, the outside diameter of this tyre size is about 5% less than the standard Superb MK3 tyre sizes.

why are you writing that wrong information again and again?!
there is no free space for 215mm tire in the boot,
but is enough space for full diameter tire 205/65r16

@Hutchy36

read those and couple of similar topics

If all you want is a spacesaver wheel to get you home then here is my recommendation (based on my own experience with 18 inch wheels)

1. First ask on here if anyone has one for sale !! I missed a chance here that would have saved some time and effort.

2. You'll need the spacesaver wheel, a jack and brace kit, and a foam insert to support the floor properly. Skoda dealers will charge around  £210 for the 18 inch wheel set. That includes everything you need and the tyre is brand new, unused obviously.

3. If you want to get it cheaper then head over to eBay.  You should be able to find an 18 inch spacesaver wheel (just the wheel and tyre) for around £35. This will be a used item but query the seller and you should be able to determine that it will have plenty of tread for a spare. Note that all the VAG use the same spacesavers so an 18inch wheel for a VW Golf should fit the Superb and so on. The 18inch Superb wheel uses a 125/70 R18 tyre and the rim has the code "1K0601027B" stamped on it (the 16 inch wheel will have a different tyre size and code).

4. You can get the full jack, wheel brace and foam insert kit (but NOT the actual wheel) brand new from Kopacek Superb 18inch Wheel Change Kit here for around 60 Euros.

That makes the whole kit less than £100.

If you want to beef up the wheel brace with something that has a little more leverage then you'll need a 17mm socket on the end of it.

Don't forget to ensure you have the little plastic "tweezers" thingy to remove the plastic wheel nut covers - that's not included in the Superskoda kit.

And I highly recommend removing all the wheels and putting a touch of copper ease or similar around the inner centre of the wheel where it sits on the hub to prevent the wheel from sticking to the hub due to corrosion.

That's all.

What width rim is your 205/65R16 tyre fitted to? If it's fitted to the standard 6.5J Superb MK3 rim, the tyre will be about 215mm wide not 205mm wide.

The actual width of a tyre doesn't just depend on the nominal width of the tyre but the width of the rim that it is fitted to.

Fitting a tyre to a wider rim increases the actual width of the tyre.

Fitting a tyre to a narrower rim decreases the actual width of the tyre.

You can see in the Toyo chart below, that a 205/65 tyre fitted to a 6J rim has an actual width of 209mm.

https://www.toyo.co.uk/tirefinder/index/width/205/aspect/65/rim/16

A 205/65 tyre fitted to a 6.5J rim has an actual width of about 215mm.

A 215/60 tyre fitted a a 6J rim has an actual width of about 215mm.

Therefore, a 205/65 tyre fitted to a 6.5J rim has exactly the SAME width as a 215/60 tyre fitted to a 6J rim.
