passengers door wont open

Featured Replies

iv changed the window regulator today on my skoda fabia mk1 1.4 petrol estate and other than a few drips of claret and a few cursing words all was well. all worked before i fitted the door card and after (for a few times) then i could not open the doors. the central locking works as it should, but there is no resistance on the door handle. (it looks like the cable to the door handle has broke or come adrift } but the inside handle wont open it either. now iv tried beating the door as was suggested on another site but nothing. is there a secret before i cut the door off with a plasma cutter? thanks in advance, all help is appreciated, mark

Sounds like you might have forgotten to re-hook the spring hook before refitting as in this other topic?

Interestingly I have just got the same problem but haven't had my door apart at all so not sure what has gone wrong with mine. Thinking about taking the cover off the rear of the handle and using a wire coat hanger as suggested in that topic ^
