Octavia Vrs 2012

Featured Replies

Hi all,

I'm considering buying an Octy vrs.  However, the guy selling it had lost the service book.  Is there anyway of finding out it's service history?

Also, not entirely sure about the clutch.  It bites very close to the floor.  Is this common, or symptomatic of a problem?

I possibly saw the word clutch pop up on the dash information, but I could be imagining it.  Started it a couple of times after and didn't see any messages.

TIA

If it's been serviced by Skoda, I think they keep a service history record on their system, though that might not apply for older cars.

But any dealer will be able to give you what information Skoda is holding on your car.

Edit: Also that clutch doesn't sound right, IMO.

Also, for peace of mind, this might be worth a look,

Thank you. I will give Skoda a bell and see what they come up with.

I'd ensure to have as much info on the vehicle as possible before purchasing.

My wife is currently having issues with her 2017 plates' transmitter and our current garage cannot put a finger on which is causing the issue.

Absolute nightmare!
