The UK configurator is live today, options list is a bit scary !  Holding out for the Monte Carlo, but seeing what extra's adding up (ok, I know the MC may have different options), and probably cost more !

Hyundi i20N back on the possible list :)

Come on Skoda, give us a picture of the Monte :)

Comparing an i20N and Fabia Monte Carlo hahaha

and this week I test drove Abarth 595 :)  Strong contender :):)  Well the 695 is !    Crossed the i20N off the list !

Fairly interested in the Mk4 Fabia (been looking at some Mk3s but due to the current prices of used cars it just didn't seem worth it). However, prices don't seem too far off the new polo!

In fact Jamesmaher63 the Polo is less expensive!

I have just ordered a Polo Life DSG (95 PS) in Smokey Grey metallic. I was pleasantly surprised by the standard spec of the car - includes folding mirrors, adaptive cruise, virtual cockpit, LED dipped beam, LED rear lights, paddles on steering wheel and travel assist. I just added heated seats, rear view camera and spare wheel. VW are giving £750 contribution and dealer chipped in £500 so good value on PCP. Total cost for the car is £22020.

I would have preferred the 110 PS engine but this is only available on the R-line which is a pity. The R-line with its fake exhausts and significantly higher price did not appeal. (I was able to take a test drive with the 95 PS engine and was relieved that it had enough power for me).

For once in my view VW UK have pitched their offering well. As you know I have been waiting for the new Fabia but this has proved very disappointing, more expensive and with fewer factory-fit options available, too many of which are in the form of ‘packs’. This shows, sad to say, that Skoda UK have simply got this launch wrong for customers who want to customise their order.

22k on a polo hahahaha

I paid 23k for a sporline Karoq. Brand new They must of seen you coming miles away

Hi Tim1631 - many thanks for your very supportive comment. I should point out that the £22000 is the price before the discounts I mentioned. Also I am not interested in a Karoq. I am comparing the Polo I have ordered to the Fabia I wanted to order which is well over £23000 with no support from Skoda yet on PCP. Are you suggesting that anyone looking at a small hatchback should really just go for a Karoq because you happened to get a good deal?

Sounds really good! Please let me know how you get on with it because I think I’ll be going over to VW for the polo rather than the Fabia. Like you said, with VW I could select a specific few things I want whereas the Fabia are big packages for a big price which includes a lot of things I don’t want!

If you don’t mind me asking, how so cheap? When did you purchase the vehicle? We recently bought our Karoq SE Drive with 4K miles, fairly basic spec and that was 20k even after a generous discount due to loyal customers/family etc.
