Does this make and model of car ever have problems with the engine mountings?

 

My 2012 Superb, (fairly high mileage but in good condition) recently passed its MOT and nothing was said about this possibly being an issue.

 

I'm getting a new cam belt and water pump kit fitted soon at an independent garage and I was wondering if this might be a good time to also have the engine mountings replaced?

Or you could ask them if they think it's necessary. There are formal tests of rock amplitude, but they're not part of the MoT.

Pretty unlikely to be in need of replacement though, with possible exception of 'dogbone' one if your car has that type between underside of gearbox and subframe.
