Relay location Headlamps /Wiring Info

Featured Replies

Does anyone know where,if, relay for main beam on Roomster 2012  TSI might be?

I don't know if there are relays in this model or if it's done via SSE in computer.

All lights work including flash high beam but main high beam doesn't work when stitched from dipped to high.  So lamps are good and all else but for high beam.  Wish I had a wiring circuit I could look at!!!

If anyone one knows anything about wiring, relays etc that would be most helpful as that could be checked before expense of trying new stalk switch which I'll get garage to do.

Any ideas much appreciated

John

You can download the wiring diagrams at erWin Skoda for a small fee.

That can give you big pdfs with all the info about all versions of Roomster; or via a different tab you can see and print but not download specific diagrams relating to your VIN, I believe, though I've not looked in that area much myself. The big pdf for all Roomsters from March 2010 to April 2012 runs to 4210 pdf pages so I suspect you'll want to go to the VIN-specific info...

Interpreting and understanding them is not totally easy, but doable with patience.

I have my doubts about there being a relay in the system.

Do the headlights have twin-filament bulbs, or separate dipped and main beam bulbs?

Hi thanks.

Dipped lamps are separate from high beam lamps, so not twin filament.

Main beam bulbs share a fuse (36) after the dip/flash switch I think, but if that were blown then you wouldn't get them working for flash? Check it anyway.

I did check that but I've just double checked to make sure and yes fuse 36 all good.
