Maybe indeed awiring not fitted completely. Had this too on a headlamp on my previous car and it was a tad loose. Great it has been fixed so you dont have to waist time at the dealer and wait for repairs

So…newsflash…its in a production and delivery approximately last week in may 🥳😆

Yesterday was a good day!

 

Front Dashcam fitted, rear one almost done, just got to route the cable through the tailgate rubber boot. I've forgotten how much I hate trying to loosen trim on new cars!

 

 

could you show the position of the front camera? To see the place how it fits

Wanted to do the same, but gave up after I found out I'd have to route the cables through the whole car 😄 

 

So I bought Garmin DashCam Tandem that records inside the cabin. It captures some of the stuff that happens behind the car 😛

Not the best photo sorry. Fortunately I’ve done a few and rarely break anything these days! Biggest problem is trying to avoid airbags on modern cars. I also struggled to find a switched 12v, all the large fuses are permanent, looks like the micro2 are the ones I need, unfortunately that’s the one that Nextbase don’t include as standard. Quick phone call and they are sending one free of charge, just have to remember to disconnect it every evening until I can switch it out. 

Looks very tidy nicely done! I tought every scala came now with the usb at the mirror? That is what i am expecting to get as i want to mount a dashcam too. Now i have somewhat an idea of the space there is up there, thank you for the pic

No worries, USB is an option and this car is leased. Not paying for things for other people!!

Yep, I sold my old one three weeks after Scala landed. I like the fact that the old chap is still happy and driving around with a new owner 😁😂

Well I couldn’t say the same for my 2008 corsa I sold last summer…guy destroyed it in two months after it was sold 🤦🏻‍♂️ Now I’m left with Hyundai i10 (2015) so I’ll try to sell this guy somewhere with respect heheh

i ordered my Skoda Scala montecarlo in february this year... Got an update that it will be delivered to Slovenia in the last week of april or first week of may

I got some better news too, received a new estimate may 2022 so good stuff atm. Still not hoping just going with the flow and be happy if i can collect it.

And it begins ... build moved on another 3 weeks! 

I still have not heard nothing, i guess the same thing all over again. I am not surprised with this mess and i allready gave up in hoping a soon delivery with this order.

My car is in production. But currently no VIN.

I still have no build date either (ordered late July!)

the only positive thing is that my existing VWFS lease (a Seat Leon) keeps getting extended on an informal 3 month contract basis, with only 30 days notice required to cancel, so not the end of the world

Good that you have a car, I'm without and am now only three months off of having to insure any piece of scrap to maintain my no claims!

My car is build and waiting for a delivery 🙂

Insurers often allow the NCB to sit for 2 years without you having a policy in place.   You do not need to have a policy running always to keep the NCB.

(Those that have a Motability car might be fine getting the NCB still after 3 years of having not held their own policy.)
