Heater not working after stereo upgrade

Featured Replies

Hi all. Just had a stereo fitted at Halfords in my daughter's Citigo (2015). Stereo working fine but I've noticed the heater blows only cold. Has the fitter not connected something or is this a fuse issue?? Thanks.

Yes. I'd check the fuses, but suspect the issue is a loose nut in a Halfraud's fitting bay.

Thanks for the reply Ken.

The heater works using hot engine coolant via a small radiator - there isn't a fuse for that.

I suspect they have dislodged the cable from the rotary temp dial to the air mixer box.

Take the car car back and get them to reconnect it.

There is one for the fan though.

Obviously, but the OP did say "blows cold" so I assume the fan is running?

Yes it blows cold.

As suggested by @freemansteve Check the cables attached to the back of the temperature/direction regulators. They're quite flimsy and there is a possibility that when refitting the fascia adaptor they simply came off they mounting points.

It did happened to me when I was adding extra wiring for the rear speakers.
