Locking wheel nuts

Featured Replies

Just borrowed my sons car,I checked to see if everything was ok for my trip.so does a 2020 superb come with a locking wheel nut.i cannot find it anywhere.jusr wondering if garage kept it by accident.am driving to Spain on Monday and if anything can go wrong it will be us.

There should be a security bolt on each wheel and a socket in the kit to get them off. Also a tweezer to get the caps off the bolts.

So best look and see if there is one cover bigger than the other 4 and if you can get it off without the tweezer and if there is a security bolt then search search and search again.

The bolt key is probably in the right knee pull down cubby hole, or the rear centre console cubby hole, I often play find the key with the indy I use.

Supplying dealers occasionally put it in the filter basket of the washer reservoir, see if it's there, or has it knocked it's way through the plastic and is now in the reservoir below...

Panic over, after stripping the car down 3 times and starting my 4 search .i noticed a lump under the passenger side floor mat.there it was and put back where is should of been in the first place.it has been in for a service a few weeks back so one at the garage must have put it there.in any case thank you for your help.i had nightmares thinking of shredding a tyre on the Spanish motorway about 2 am.not be able to change to spare wheel.cheers

@Joss1733do you know you will be able to change a wheel yet?  Do you have a means of getting the caps off and have you checked that the supplied wheel brace will loosen the bolts as tightened if they were ever touched at the service or are as they left the factory.   ie, no need for a 2ft pipe as an extension on the wheel brace.

Oh how I hate seeing `should of` instead of `should have`.

Best I go for a lay down.
