Turbo Outlet

Featured Replies

Hi all, I came across this:

https://www.wagner-tuning.uk/001002399.html

I just wondered if anyone has any experience of fitting one, is it straight forward?

No performance gains are mentioned, I expect any would be modest?

Would it affect mapping etc. Or is it as suggested 'plug and play'?

Many thanks for any info anyone could give.

Changing the turbo outlet alone will not give you any noticeable power gain. But it will give you a bit more turbo sound and whistle.

You might gain a bit of power if you change a couple of parts which will help the car breath better. For example if you change air intake, turbo outlet and exhaust. This will be even more noticeable when doing a remap on the car.

Check the Racingline website. They have few more parts available.

Hi @BacktoaVRS,

I fitted one almost 2.000 km ago and for the time being, so far so good. It's quite straightforward to install, for me the most tricky part was putting back in place the torx located in the bottom part of the muffler, I was afraid of dropping it inside the engine bay. Once in place, the rest is peanuts.

No mapping needed, just plug and play, as @TheUltraRunner said, besides the increase of turbo blowing sound no noticeable power gain. You could go for a dyno run to test, but I think it is pointless.

I see that the air intake system is already available to buy but, to be honest, for me makes no sense its installation before proper ECU remap. In the market we start to have a big bunch of hardware, I am still missing intercooler though, but without remap ...

Thanks for the responses, so I guess without a remap it's probably not really worth it.
