bioethanol conversion?

Anyone know if this is a readily available in kit form?

I'm assuming "no" as manufacturers a jsut releasing these as standard production models i.e Saab, Ford.

What is supposed to be a "green" car with lower emission etc actually has the added benefit of producing much more power...for turbo cars anyway...as bioethanol has a much higher RON rating.

Not many garages have bioethanol atm either.

Hmmm....petrol equivalent to the diesel LPG mod? :rubchin:

There was an article on the BBC website about this a few months ago - it sounded very interesting: +15% power IIRC and you can even pretend that the only reason you want this conversion is to save the environment, the additional 30bhp or so has nothing whatsoever to do with it ;):D

I'm sure that the article mentioned the conversion would cost around

Bit of an old post resurection, but I have been looking at converting my VR6 Corrado, as I want to help save the planet...........honest:rofl:

I've seen a few conversion kits, around the

We do some work with BSR in sweden, they do work for the swedish government on E85. Not sure if they offer conversions for the VW range but can ask. The saabs make more power on E85. And I know guys in sweden who run turbo'd BMW's on it. They can run decent boost levels with stock compression using E85 :)
