Hi, has anyone carried out the centre exhaust silencer delete on there 272, I know the delete is available for the Golf R fitted with the OPF system but was wondering if it’s been done on the superb combi 4x4 and if so what’s the part no 👍

There’s no after market part for this. You would have to visit an exhaust specialist to have one made 

I did contact one exhaust manufacturer to ask about this on my Passat with the same engine (2.0 TSI 272ps) they told me there was no point as the O/GPFs muffle the sound anyway.

 

Be interested if anyone has actually done it and what difference it made?

I believe with a center exhaust silencer delete you only get drone inside.
I replaced the original one with a straight through muffler but didn't make any difference in terms of sound.
What really changes the sound are back boxes and downpipe.
