Why is it only available down south, thats not fair on us northerners, silly trial!

Didn't someone post on here that its £2 a litre or something.?

Someone beat me to it....

Just found another range' date=' two of which can increase up to 7 points:eek:

Assuming my limited maths is correct (I work in finance afterall) 97 + 7 = 104[/quote']

I've tried simalar in an offshore raceboat, didn't win me any races, didn't notice any improvement at all.

Not saying it's no good, best give it a try, if you think it works, get loads more.

Surely a mix would work reasonably well 20 to 1 or something. It would be an improvement over standard, and of course would clean out the injectors etc.

Redex does that for a fraction of the cost.

Probably because us rich southerners can afford it:rolleyes:

Although more likely for the same reasons we cant get bio-diesel down south, thats realy unfair!!

Filled my car with a full tank of 99 ron yesturday, £42

Thing is, the more north and west you go, the more people tend to go down the chippy for fish 'n' chips. Down South people eat designer humus.

You just can't get the same quality of fuel out of lettuce, humus or Quorn as you can from used chippy oil. :D

I live fairly south and don't any of that poncy non-food :)

Plenty good chippies down here, just you cant get things like barm cakes or black pudding!

we just dont use our chippies as much hence less waste oil I suppose, not to mention less coronary heart disease :D

Back on topic (sort of), would the following work?

normal decent quality 95ron + a good dose of a decent octane booster

= Optimax or similar?

It'll probally cost you more in booster than going for the higher octane stuff in the first place.

I've tried simalar in an offshore raceboat...

I've been reading posts on Boatmad & Briskoda for months now & I only made the connection when I read that, despite reading the 'man in a shop' joke about three minutes ago!

If you used the new 102 stuff, and added octane booster and got your car mapped on it, must be good for a few % boost in power...

Your'e up late Tom, isn't it pass your bedtime ;)

I would love to try BP's 102 fuel but would want to get the most from it by changing the map settings. I think this would do it if you had a REVO remap! ;)
