Manual boot locking

Featured Replies

Hi, I currently have battery issues which I’m getting resolved next week and I have managed to

manually lock all my doors successfully.

the one thing I can’t door is work out how to manually lock the boot - does anyone know how please?

the doors are all now locked, but the boot remains unlocked .

Octavia VRS 2010

TIA

If the car has enough power to lock the doors I would assume you have a problem elsewhere preventing the boot from locking, possibly from trying to start the car with a poor battery.

The high current drain from the starter depletes power available to the electronics which can get confused.

Perhaps disconnecting the battery for a minute and reconnecting will reset things and allow you to lock up until you address the battery issue.
