Hi guys,

 

My headlights used to go through a sequence of adjusting its own height when I went to start the car. Noticed it has stopped doing this and the beams are really low and hence have failed the MOT.

I'm hoping there's a fuse or a relay I can replace to resolve this but can't find anything that points me in the right direction??

 

The car is a 2009 Octavia MK1 Lauren and Klemet edition.

It might be worth getting the car scanned to see if there are any errors logged.

 

I’m currently going through this issue myself but, it’s intermittent. And, strangely enough mine stop when my rear parking sensor randomly stop. Which currently only seems to happen when it’s wet. 😂 It’s annoying as my lights face down really low, yet, yesterday they adjusted when I started the car and today they stopped again.

 

I would also advice looking at the connector plugs and look for corrosion.

my guess with this is one of the level sensors on the axles has died and the lights have gone into a safe mode.  Have a look at them under the car and seof they are siezed or the connecting rods between axle and sensor are broken.

Last year in the snow someone clouted into the back of my parked car and drove off and I think it may be related. Do you know whereabouts the one on the rear axles is and what is looks like so I know what I'm looking for?
