Can I fit adaptive cruise control to my Octavia Mk3 2018

Featured Replies

I use cruise control a lot but it would be so much better if it was adaptive.

If I remember correctly if you have front assist then it can be retrofitted. Think it was around £450 when mentioned for a seat Leon, should be the same for an Octavia

It's quite a complicated retrofit. If there is no front assist, I would guess £1000 in parts plus quite a bit of time.... I do find it very useful though. Luckily standard on a golf R.

It applies the brakes automatically if the car approaches something too quickly. I assume this is front assist.

Yes, sounds like front assist. There should be an option in the multifunction display of the entertainment unit to deactive it (front assist).

That being the case then you need to do some googling for adding ACC to front assist. There may be retrofit places that do it or it might be DIY able. It will definitely require setting up and coding, I'd expect some parts or wiring even with front assist.

I'll try to see what I can find later, otherwise someone on here may have more direct experience of the retrofit...

Hello! I have an Octavia MK3 2018 Style version in Turkey. We are trying to implement an ACC system for my car. We couldn't figure out why the system doesn't make the car completely stop. It turned itself off at under 20 km/h. My car has hill assist, which allows it to hold the car in place for 3-4 seconds. I think it uses the same logic for a complete stop in ACC. Could you help me with configuring the system in VCDS? Thank you.
