Automatic locking and 'chirp' sound

Featured Replies

Hi everyone. I've recently picked up a pre-loved '67 Plate VRS 245 and I can't seem to find out if it's possible to enable the 'chirping' sound when locking and also to have the car lock itself after a set period of time.

I used to have these options on my old '16 plate VRS and the options are just not there in the settings menu (CAR > SETTINGS > OPENING AND CLOSING)

Is this something that can be enabled with some VCDS wizardry or am I just going to have to live without?

Chirp would need to be done via VCDS or obdeleven I believe. .

As for self locking, if you don't open the door within a minute of unlocking the car it should relock its self.

Yeah you can defiantly enable and disable auto locking on OBDELEVEN as well as the chirp.

My 67 Plate 1.4TSI auto locks after 45 seconds. Not sure the auto locking can be turned off through the InfoTainment unit though so sounds like something amiss.
