H,i guys

recently had a high heat warning on maxidot to stop car and visit workshop

my car is 4 months out of warranty and not one skoda dealer in dublin could look at my car until 17th jan

i have a vw mech i know , and got him to look.

instantly diagnosed main water pump with sliding collar stuck

so to avoid any future confusion :pump  c stuck  is main water pump notany other pump

also lads

had timing belt ,tensioner , runners  and waterpump replaced  independently ,

and difference is quite noticable

as in heat in cabin quite quickly.

apparently vw are doing water pumps 3/4 times a week  around 80 thousand miles

so be warned

my advice is get it done if you are in that milage range

skoda charge 550 euro  but are booked out for two weeks
