Hi All, I've just joined the forum as I recently purchased an octavia 3 VRS TSI, my first skoda although I have previously owned close relatives of the VW variant this is my first and I am so far, very impressed. Hopefully the forums will offer an insight into what can be done to get the most from the car.

Hi everyone, I have a Skoda Fabia with a 1.2 AZQ engine. I have a warm running issue - the car misfires/stutters when fully warm. The intake air temperature (IAT) reads around 80°C when the problem occurs. When I unplug the EGR connector the car runs perfectly and IAT drops to around 30°C. Parts already replaced: EGR valve (new) + adaptation done MAP sensor (new) Coolant temperature sensor (new) PCV valve (new) EGR pipe is clean, no carbon buildup Breather hose between EGR and air filter ho

Hi, I'm looking at a 72k mile Skoda Superb 65 plate, hopefully lots of motorway miles. It looks good, my main concerns being the lack of dsg oil change & potential for carbon build up due to direct injection. I currently have a mk6 Golf GTI (EA888 Gen 1) which didn't support dual injection & bit me when the carbon build up & clogged injectors caused a flooded cylinder. I've tried to research this but I'm getting conflicting information around this engine & I wasn't sure if s

I have a 2024 Octavia Vrs diesel. Last year I was in France approaching one of the free ferries over the river Seine, downstream of Rouen. I took a wrong turn and had to reverse, then go slowly forward to get to the correct lane. At only about 2 or 3 mph the car came to a sudden violent stop accompanied by a bang. 2014 SE. Had a low battery which failed to start the car. New battery. Car will start but dies after 3 seconds. Full tank of petrol. Dash engine light goes off but EPC remains on.
