Velvet red. 
just wondering if anyone on here used to own it. Looks like it came to the dealer in the Nottingham area around November but was first registeeed in the north east.

Is it definitely a 272? They swapped over from the 280 late 2018 so most are 68 plates. You might have found an early one though but worth checking in case it matters to you. 

Hi mate thanks for that. Yea it’s defo a 272 according to paperwork.: have just edited the title, it’s a 68 reg not an 18 main thing for me is that it has the 7 speed box..  not sure if they did the 280 with the 7 speed. 👍🏻

No you're right the 7sp is the best way to tell.

What I am intrigued to know is if it’s Gpf ?? 

Gasoline Particulate Filter. Same sort of thing that's been on diesels for a while. 

 

They reduce power a bit, restrict three engine noise and I've seen one post where someone's had clogged up at a low mileage. But that's the only one I've seen that's had a problem

Yea I know what the part is and what it does just wondering if this 68 plate will have one on it ??

Skoda have had GPF's now for just over 3 years, so we have yet to find out how they are at 4,5 or 6 years & on because so many say that they are not much different from DPF's.

Well we know how well it went for some with DPF's.

 

But then GPF's are different and regen differently.   Soon we will find out the cost of replacing GPF's at Skoda / VW Main Dealers or at Independents.

I think it probably does which is why the power dropped from 280 to 272. But I could be wrong.

Absolutely correct! I have a 272 (with GPF). It was delivered in November 2018 after a delay due to GPF certification. 

 

The 7 speed dsg was also implemented at the same time as the GPF.

looks like the mapping will be a few Hp down on the 280 but I’m sure I’ll live with 360bhp and 500nm 

 

how’s the fuel economy. Obvs be down on my current superb sportline 4x4 mapped diesel but 40 on a run ?? 

For me personally I get anywhere from 30 to 38mpg. 40 if I was driving under the speed limit on a long journey. If I'm on a long journey, I tend to have the boot loaded up so the car weighs even more than normal 😂
