Interior light dim and heated seats not working?

Featured Replies

Today my interior lights stopped working, radio and dash lights dimmed and heated seats stopped working.

Any ideas on what is causing this? Nothing has been added/changed lately.

Thanks.

Failed body control unit. Just had mine replaced under warranty.  £600 plus labour I think it's the cost of paying yourself

I had one replaced, not under warranty, about a year ago. Similar problem. Any idea what causes the failure? Is it a known issue??

Don't know.  Why was it replaced last time?  Same issues with lights etc?

Installation of a reversing camera was suspected cause last time. No idea what causes it this time.

Was the battery disconnected when the RC was installed?

Can't remember, was over a year ago. Module was replaced by Skoda and been fine since, camera was removed and car is 100% standard. Car was fine on way to work, fault just happened after I started car.

Damn that’s a stretch, or a really poorly installed camera, they only go to the fuse box and infotainment control unit, not the body control unit

They had a lot of difficulty finding cause of issue, Skoda factory were looking at it remotely too. Am just hoping not going to have issue every few months.

Also, the infotainment unit and maxi dot work perfectly until key is put in ignition. Then they immediately dim.
