On the display board "Backgrounds"

Featured Replies

On the dash board you have a choice of different displays that are accessed by the buttons on the right side of the steering wheel

I used to have a bit that showed me , within the power circle thing how much range i had petrol and electric

That seems to have disappeared and it now states "skoda backgrounds" where I used to see how many miles were left

How do i get back to how it used to be

Thanks

Press the right wheel button twice to select the menu on the left side of the digital instrument. Then scroll the right wheel button till you find the desired info screen. Wait till green arrows disappear.

Is there anyway to change what is showing in the center of the instruments panel? I'd like to have something else than speed there.

Seems like i can only change the two outer parts.

Not by default.

So how then? :) Do i need to enable something with OBD11? I really would like to have some information on the center.

Not sure if you can change anything in the centre display. Even with OBD or similar. Haven't seen anything online about the center display.

I really wonder what would you want in the center display instead of the speed. :) I can't see anything from the current options that would make sense having in the center.

I'm loaning a picture from a Leon PHEV. I really like the speedometer being on the right side WITH the digital speed indication on the bottom. Since almost always drive with ACC on, i don't need the speed being so large.

From VW Golf i've always used that view with map on the center. Unfortunately you cant do that in Octavia,

In Octavia, i'd rather have map or even consumption being in the center. Don't understand why they didn't make it customizable.

I do also dislike the fuel and battery gauges. Luckily on PHEV the left side is battery, not temp. Temperature is the most useless gauge in modern cars, at least being always visible.

I agree about the map. But I think here you would need a completely different layout rather just a change of  the info displayed in the center.
