Octavia VRS 2.0 TDI (BMN Engine) 2008 - Turbo need replacing so upgrade recomendations

Hi all,

so just brought a VRS 2008 2.0 TDI BMN Engined occy

turbo has a whine so going to replace it now before it goes wrong down the line, how much do you reckon we are talking? Reconditioned is more than fine

Also while having the turbo done, figured may as well do some upgrades so what do you guys reccomend?

Knocking noise/rattle from DCC - Sportline 2.0 Petrol

Hi. Had the car since May 25. Always been a knocking sound like metal on metal from the front suspension when driving over bumps in the road. It sounds a bit like an old worn shock absorber on a car from the past. The dealer identified and acknowledged the unusual sound but were unable to identify the cause. I contacted Skoda UK customer services who were generally pretty unhelpful. The did supply the dealer with a copy of a page from an internal powerpoint presentation which revealed that

Have come to use the A/C for the first time this past week and noticed that pressing the button for the recirculating air doesn’t appear to work. Button presses but nothing happens it doesn’t light up and stays off Also through the media center doesn’t do anything, wondering if anyone has come across this before? Or is it a trip to Skoda?

Hi wonder if anyone on here can confirm I have the right part number for front springs. PR code in boot is 2UA/L07 and from LLLparts diagrams I get 1K0411105AQ. No paint marks on broken one plus looks like 1x pink,1xorange,1xblue on good one. LLL parts say also marked with 1 x grey and 4x blue which I don't have unless they mean pink,orange,blue or grey blue blue blue blue? Again seems to be quite a few to choose from. Any help welcome Alasdair

TL:DR - hi! superb 280: wet skiddy without quality back tyres? Hello everybody, New to the forum and owning a skoda. I've got a 2019 superb sportline 280 hatch. Are they known to get a bit unsettled at the back end in the wet? With the job I do I've driven both manual and dsg Haldex skodas (octavias and kodiaq), quite hard, and never experienced this. Granted the work cars are all diesel with Michelin crossclimates. I've had the car 2-3 months now and there's a bit of stuff in the boot. K
