Infortainment system keeps restarting ..

Hi all, so iv just picked up this Octavia and the infortainment keeps restarting over and over. iv already done some reading and watched some vids but I cant seem to find the actual cause of the problem ? If I reset the unit by pressing and holding the power button it seems to cure the issue 9 times out of 10 for the rest of my journey only for it to start and the next time I start up the vehicle. My unit says Columbus on the front and on the back it says Alpine 5e0919606. 

I dont mind buying a new screen but would like to know if that is actually the problem ? The previous owner mentioned about software for the sd card in the glove box but iv no idea about that
