Vibration

Featured Replies

Got a little problem. No noise nothing.
40 mph small vibration then it stops
50 pmh still nothing then vibration like its wheel balancing is needed
Then it stops.
60/70 mph nothing at first then vibration wheel gets really hot but it's not the brakes binding or the caliper sticking. Wheel baring OK all other major parts good.
Has anyone got any good ideas what is causing this 😠 😠 😠

Just one wheel gets hot?

Yes and had a burning smell from the same side. Disc was very hot though

So how do you know the brakes aren't binding or the caliper sticking? I had a work colleague who recently experienced the same issue with a VW Touran. He made the assumption the brakes werent binding because the car wasn't pulling to the side with the sticking caliper. You've had the caliper off and pushed the piston back in?

Jacked up the car spun the wheel no noise eg grinding sound at all. It only does it when it's had a long run

Yes probably because everything expands when it's warm. Sounds like a brake issue to me,
