Bought some standard VW screenwash (G 052 164 M2) over the weekend, but the dilution ratio is not stated anywhere. Peeling back labels on back and front just shows multilingual safety information.  Various search results have suggested anything from 1:1 to 1:200!

 

Can anybody (particularly in the UK) enlighten me please?

It should be on the label...

 

Anywho, the ratios (screenwash : water) are:

- Protection to -70°C, undiluted

- Protection to -40°C, 2:1

- Protection to -35°C, 1:1

- Protection to -16°C, 1:2

- Summer use: 1:4

OK. The -35 or -16 dilutions are as far as you need to to go in the UK.

Used to buy this when I had the Scout with its fan washers but dont bother with the Superb. Just buy ready mix from Halfords saves the hassle.

Thought the screenwash had to be fan-jet compatible?  Doesn't the Superb have fan washers on the headlights?

It is amazing how screen wash that is not produced using the Tears of an angel will spray from fan nozzles and does not invalidate a VW Group Manufacturers Warranty. 

 

I still buy the VW screen wash. I like the smell 🙄

Sorry, but have to ask... What is fan-jet compatible screenwash liquid? I haven´t never heard anything like this before.

I normally use those bulk ready-mixed stuff. Yes, smells like alcohol but at least I don´t need wunderbaum 🤣
