Hi all,

I have a burnt oil smell in the cab yet there is no evidence of any oil leaks. Could it be the engine oil filler cap not closing tightly enough?

Any advice gratefully accepted

How long have you owned the car?

It might be a DPF regeneration as that can smell hot.

Hi Ecomatt, I've had the car for about 4 years. I travel 40 miles a day to and from  work. The smell has become more noticeable over the past year or so but the  smell isn't there on every journey. If it was the DPF wouldn't the gasses remain outside the cab?
