Steering wheel controls.

Featured Replies

Hi everyone.

I have recently had the clockspring replaced by my local garage with a genuine part. He has reset the air bag light and the horn, telephone and radio controls are working. However the righthand roller switch doesn't work meaning I am unable to reset the clock or change the information display. The garage has had the car back twice now, and are unable to sort it out.

Would I be correct in thinking I need a specialist or are we missing something obvious? I have even considered the possibility of a faulty unit. As I live out in the wilds of Aberystwyth Skoda dealers are non existent so any recommendations would be most welcome.

Thanks.

The new unit will require the parameters coding to correspond with the equipment fitted to your vehicle, normally this is done by saving or copying the coding of your old unit.

It sounds like your garage has neither the means (VCDS or similar) or the competence to do this.
