Replacing drivers door locking mechanism

Hi

as is common with Vags the drivers door mechanism had become temperamental, I’ve bought the replacement from Skoda and set about removing the door card etc but can’t figure out how to undo the cable from the outside handle that goes to the mech???

any ideas peeps? Do I need to remove the door handle ? On the older Octavia’s you could remove the outside door panel
