Kessy issue

Featured Replies

Hey

I have some problem with Superb 3 kessy. Sometimes if you start the engine and leave car with key in my pocket, it starts locking doors by itself(sometimes locks doors 1 time, sometimes 10times).Yesterday waited for passenger, started the car, she grabs handle(outside) and car locks all doors itself, i had to take out key from my pocket and unlock car...

Is there some solution to reset kessy or where the problem can be? Its really annoying...

Thanks..

It sounds as if she touched the locking dimple and as the key was close by, locked the doors.

+1 wat @john999boy said.

also, if u r sitting inside - why r u taking ur keys out to unlock the car?!?!?

there is a lock/unlock button on the centre console, below the gear shift - just press that to lock or unlock.

Cause centre console button didnt unlock the car at this moment... she didnt touched the locking dimple, it happens when im alone too, starting engine, leaving car, shut the door and car locks itself - sometimes clicks rapidlity(5 to 10times row) sometimes only locks 1 time...

Wet comfort module I would guess. Check for any moist in the floor mats/carpet or whatever is the wording in english :)

Previously on older cars from VW group it was under the passenger feets. Can't tell nowadays, but for me the simptoms were the same.
That or bad soldering at the drivers locking mechanizm that is responsible for the rest of the doors. (This one is a wild guess)

floor is nice and dry.. but why problem appears only when engine running? Opening closing, kessy, lights etc works  absolutely fine..

Do all the doors lock and unlock via the remote as normal? It's not a dodgy lock on one door perhaps?

Yes all doors lock and unlock normally, connected to skoda, they think that 1 lock actuator is bad. Tomorrow getting vcds and check for fault codes.

this would be my first idea. i would expect a bad door module somewhere. is it weather affected? my 2018 does not lock always properly when colder than -15C but now it is only -7, it is fine.

if there are no fault codes, I would try disconnecting the battery for 10-15 minutes to allow a complete restart of the bus.

Also: did you try with different keys? and did you also already replace the battery in those keys?

Yep, tried different keys, still same. I have replaced 1 key battery because car showed up that battery is low.

Connected to skoda, asked the price for front door lock replacement, 250€ for job and lock itself - pretty much...

Okay, got vcds and scanned, got 1 fault-what does it mean?

Is it possible this can be the reason for my problem?
