MySkoda app locking status usually wrong - trying to see how many affected?

A few weeks of back and forth with bug reports etc and confirming with factory. It took a while, but I am convinced they understand the issue properly which is half the battle when apps and such come into it.

Apparently the need to manually refresh the ‘Doors and lights’ card to get an accurate car status will be fixed later on this year. Good news.

This could also be affected by the apps power/battery settings (cettianly in Android anyway). I had a similar problem with another app which was set to 'optimised' and did not update correctly unless I manually intervened until I changed it to 'unrestricted'. This could also be made worse if power saving is turned on.

Just a thought.

I should have been clearer. the situation I am referring to is with iOS. And in my situation I have background app refresh enabled etc. so it isn’t user or device error (in my situation anyway).

but your point is valid of course

i'm on iOS also and i would always pull to refresh in the app. Old habit from using Land Rover Remote app - needed to be poked to get accurate info. Parking location also never shows in the mySkoda app until I pull to refresh.

One thing that seesm veryu broken right now is the vehicle health. I request a report and I get an email, but the app always shows an error if I refresh the screen. The web based mySkoda always shows me the latest vehicle health and the history of requets. I would assume the app is just a shell UI and pulls info from the web, so something has becone disconnected somewhere.

I had a door module fail, only noticed something wrong because the app showed unlocked all the time. The door was physically locked but not deadlocked. Changed out the module and now the car deadlocks and the app shows locked 👍
