2019 vs 2020 Karoq Sportline

Featured Replies

Hi All

I'm about to buy a Karoq and have put a deposit down on a 2019 Karoq Spotline 2.0 TSI. It's a 1 owner car in what looks like immaculate condition with only 11K miles on the clock.

I just realised this is an older model as it has the skoda logo on the back instead of SKODA letters. Am I making a mistake by going for this instead of paying a bit more for a MY20 car?

From what I have found the changes are:

- Skoda letters instead of logo on the rear

- Slightly larger fuel tank

- Increased range on blind-spot detection

- 0-60mph is in 6.8 seconds instead of 7.1 (Engine/output is the same?)

- Keyfobs stop transmitting when they are still for 15 minutes

- Newer infotainment system where you can't update logos

The SKODA lettering on the back and the KESSY disabling itself would be nice, but they are not dealbreakers. Are there any differences with virtual cockpit, can you still get maps in the display with a MY19 car?

Thanks

Hi there.

I can't really answer your question - my MY22 Karoq is the only one I've owned - but I'm just posting to say that you might get more replies in the Karoq forum on here.

Cheers

PJ
