Solved, it has a small clip on the side and a blocker that is releasing the cover from the arm frame

Hi, I bought a 2016 Skoda Octavia vRS 2.0 TDI (EA288 CUNA) about a month ago. It has 260,000 km on the clock, which is quite a lot, but the car has been properly serviced. Before buying it, I had a full pre-purchase inspection done and no issues were found. I also recently passed an MOT without any problems. Last week I went to a Skoda dealership to activate SmartLink, and they informed me that my car is eligible for a software recall/update. They said it includes an engine ECU update and, if

Hi all, Anyone else getting repeat Infotainment updates that don't appear to be installing, I'm getting this problem on my 2024 Superbs Infotainment unit nearly every day, when I look on the Information tab I can see the updates and when it says they're installed, and a prompt to say the installation will be active the next time the car is started, so all looks correct. Hi, I hit a deer and now need a left side headlight (part no 5E8941015). I have been let down twice by car breakers in the UK who advertise the item on eBay, but then don't have it. I have found the part I need, with this part number, but it is in the Netherlands. Am I safe buying this, or are parts for left hand drive cars different, even though the number is the same?

For the past few weeks my Skoda Scala Infotainment unit has been prompting me to do updates. Almost everyday I get the prompt to do an update. I only get the one prompt in a day. I believe the procedure is to park, accept the update, turn off the ignition, exit the car and lock it. I think some updates only apply when you next start the car.
