High commanded AFR value - 29.4 (!)

Recommended Posts

Is it normal ? I mean all the sources I have found, tells the ideal air/fuel ratio is around 14.7. This is true when idling or driving slowly. When accelerating or driving faster it should be lower than that. The higher value means leaner mixture the lower value is richer.

Mine is jumping between 14.7 and 29.4. No values in between and no lower than 14.7. Any idea why this could be ?

Attached is a screenshot from the Car Scanner app.

Put your smartphone away when you are driving, the rubbish that it is telling you is making you anxious!

The lambda sensor switches high and low several times a second either side of the Lambda 1.0 stochiometric ratio, your app would have you believe that it is doing it every 10 seconds flipping from a very lean mixture to Lambda 1.0.

It simply is not plausible, rubbish in = rubbish out.
