Hi all, just thought I might post this on here, recent picked up this MK3, some mods have been done at least on the exterior just wondered if anyone recognised it and could give me any background info, tia.

 

I am relatively new to Skoda, sadly wrote of my first pride and joy in an accident on Xmas Eve, gutted wasn't the word.

Nice looking motor, that's the VRS 230! Sorry to hear about your other vehicle.

From what I can see, the following mods have been made: custom Skoda badges front and rear, de-badged rear text, eyebrows on headlights, tinted rear lights, tinted windows, bonnet struts, carbon fibre boot lip, and rear diffuser. Looks great!

Is it a 230? They came with black Xtreme wheels and, if memory serves, the “v” in the vRS badge was black as well? This has neither. I think it’s a 220.

Those are the 230 wheels! Not sure about badge colours though, as this ones been de-badged.

I'm pretty sure this is a 230.

Again, I don’t think they are. The 230 had black inserts with a polished face. Those above are grey with a polished face. Xtremes in grey were an upgrade option for the standard 220. 
 

Im 90% it’s a 220 😂

The more I look, the more I'm sitting on the fence.  If I had to fall off the fence, I think I'd go 220 with some 230 cosmetics.  But then again....

 

I'd be happy either way - it's a good looking vRS 😎
