Driving my 2006 Fabia Estate 1.9 tdi Elegance

Featured Replies

Hello all...

Just joined so popping in to say hi before hopefully getting some much needed advice regarding veg oil mix..

I bought my 1,9tdi Elegance Fabia Estate about 3 years ago for 1300 quid. I've had to do a few fixes...track rod ends and the usual disk and pads but the car drives like a dream now...

It has 163000 miles on it and I'd probably buy another in a heart beat but with fuel prices increasing I need to find out about veg oil possibilities....

I will ask the question in a new thread...

Many thanks in advance...and hello fellow Skoda Mk1 owners 🙂

Hello Rob :hi:

I remember having a 1999 Passat (AFN) that could run on other oils because of it's simpler (than the PD's) fuelling system.  Did some research, including filtration for chip shop oil, spoke to someone who was actively (and successfully) using other oils, with the same engine as mine.  Then I sold it and bought a Saab Aero instead 🙄 so never actually did it.
